cost is $40.00 for construction valued at $100.00 to $20,000 and an
additional $2.50 for each $1,000 of value thereafter. Permits can be
obtained from the Code Enforcement Office located in the Borough

responsibility of the homeowner, and they must be
constructed in accordance with specifications in the Borough Ordinance.

required for the digging of any Borough street, permits are also issued
for soliciting door-to-door.
Irvin Park:
Within the boundaries of the
Borough of Curwensville lies Irvin Park (at the southern end of
Susquehanna Avenue). The park is mostly wooded, level and well located
to serve the residents of the community and surrounding areas. Today
the park provides four family sized pavilions available for picnics and
reunions. These pavilions may be reserved by calling the Borough Office
(236-1840), donations for their use and upkeep are accepted. Irvin Park
provides a nice band shell and is the setting for the Curwensville Days
celebrations during one full week in the month of July.
