business. With 2100 acres of land and almost 800 acres of water, the
Dam has something to offer everyone!
The West Branch of the Susquehanna
River runs through Curwensville. This river, along with its
tributaries, provide some of the best fishing in Pennsylvania. Fish
for trout, bass, catfish, and more!
Summer
Every summer, Irvin Park hosts
Curwensville Days, a week-long celebration of our town. Come and
enjoy the food, music, rides, games, and the fun!
Shortly
after Curwensville Days ends, the Clearfield County Fair begins just
down the road! Enjoy National and international music acts, tractor
pulls, racing, games, and your pick of foods from dozens of
vendors.
The Rails-to-Trails Organization has made a
beautiful walking and biking path that stretches from Grampian,
through Curwensville, and into Clearfield. The trail has many scenic
moments and is maintained year-round.
Fall
Fall is beautiful in Central
Pennsylvania, and Curwensville's scenery is no exception. As the
leaves turn colors and it gets a bit cooler, enjoy the great
outdoors and its wonder. There's the annual Halloween parade,
hayrides at Bilger's Rocks, and the start of hunting
season. Then, there is the town’s annual Christmas
Pageant “The Search for Peace” - 5 presentations at the Curwensville
United Methodist Church, usually during the first weekend in
December.
Winter
During the winter, Curwensville gets a bit chilly,
providing opportunities for fun in its own way. Go ice fishing or
sled riding. Antlered dear season is in full swing, bringing many
hunters to the area seeking big game. Go out and see how beautiful
Pennsylvania is in the winter. You'll be surprised!
